Chipmunk & Tinker Bell

As some of y'all know, we had to send our sweet Chipmunk across Rainbow Bridge. Well, Tinker Bell, took a bad turn a couple of days after that. Last night, after a very rough night with her, we made the decision to have the vet help her across the bridge as well, but she decided to run across it herself a few hours ago. Besides myself & Gray, Socks & Aero were right beside her until the end. While we are pretty much a wreck right now, we know she is with our other babies, free from pain, & having a blast with her siblings who were waiting for her. Here's a picture of Chipmunk & one of Tinker Bell (with the white paws) from a few years ago with her sister, Phoebe, who passed 8 years ago. Tinker Bell & Phoebe were both special needs babies.

This is the part nobody talks about when it comes to rescue, particularly when working with rescues with health conditions. It's rough, it's heartbreaking, but every second with them is absolutely precious & amazing. We had almost 14 years with Chipmunk & nearly 13 with Tinker Bell. We were blessed!
